At Preston & Brar LLC, our firm understands the importance of being paid for the work you do. Work is not a hobby. Every minute a person spends at work is a minute away from his or her family or personal pursuits. We all make sacrifices to ensure that our financial needs are met. When an employer does not meet its obligations under the law in regards to how it pays its employees, it needs to be held accountable and it needs to fully compensate those employees for the wages they are owed.
We have more than 25 years of combined experience. Our attorneys know how to help workers recover wages they should have been paid. We utilize that skill to help workers secure fair treatment at the hands of their employers and to rectify wage and hour issues. These issues can have a major impact on individual workers and their families. Too often, people suffer financial distress that they should not have had to face when an employer has not paid them according to the law.
Our mission is to rectify the imbalance of power between employer and employee which allows employers to treat workers unfairly — such as demanding they work through a legally mandated break or refusing to pay overtime to a nonexempt employee who works more than 40 hours in one week. An honest day's pay for an honest day's work is our goal for our clients at Preston & Brar LLC.
